Magnanimity a word that sounds like it has a complex meaning yet means to be great of mind and heart.

Project MAGNANIMITY

A 6-8 Week project that includes artist visits each week to each art class at Brooks to encourage the creation of works to be contain messages as a way to spark kindness in others. This is based on the understanding that everyone has equity in this world we live in and have the ability to affect change with generosity and kindness.

Spark Word: Magnanimity-or generosity—to be big of heart and mind

Phase 1 includes a survey of different mediums and some one the powerful ways they have been used throughout history and art history to spark change in and amongst those in society. From postwar era to current. That the proliferation of beauty can be an especially revolutionary way to help people change their minds about the way they see the world. Each week will highlight artist/artists who have spoken well of the world with their work, then will include time to engage in the same medium and activity as a preview and precursor to the way it will be presented in March.

Phase 2 will start with the Art show at OPRF on March 13th or another outside place to show work locally, library, free gallery, As a precursor to gathering to tell about the idea of a map of kindness that will contain the locations of each work? And when people find it they are to visit a page, https://bamstantonart.com/project-magnanimity, to share the way they have left kindness in the world as inspired by the finding of the art piece. Could also integrate Geocaching as a part of the hunting for the artworks placed throughout the community in Spring.
